I know for many of you school starts soon. We have about three more weeks until the children return.
I'm one of those Mom's that gets workbooks for my two to go through the summer.
We work on them usually in the morning, but not everyday.
Do you have your kids work on or go to any academic classes in the summer?
P.S.
I did wipe of our computer screen after I took this photo!
Have a great day!

Does it amaze you like it does me on how dirty the computer screens get? ha!
I always do workbooks in the summer with my kids. I think it's a great way to keep their minds working!
We did some cultural studies over the summer, studying different countries and basic language things. It was okay for a while, then I think we all got terribly tired of it! Now we are hunkering down to get used to the new school year...only one week for us.
Ha! I didn't even notice the screen until you said that!
When I was growing up, my parents always found ways to trick us into learning. They would always do something different (going to the Discovery store, picking a new book series, visiting a historical landmark) and once they got us excited about the topic, they would help us research it more. Sometimes it taught us how to use a globe or a map or an encyclopedia along the way, but we would always have so much fun!
I learned far more at home than I ever did at school, because my parents were just so good at making learning fun.
I always have big goals for the summer, but don't normally get to them. Oh well. Better a little than nothing, right?
Oh dear, I have to admit that we didn't do workbooks over the summer. :( We do read to the little ones each night and the older two kids read on their own. We also make numerous trips to the library. My teen has math he does on-line through his high school.
P.S. I've given you a blog award! Check out today's post!
Oh yes, we always do summer workbooks too! And we usually work in the morning as well - it seems to work the best.
Now I'm noticing how awful my laptop screen is!
Your son is cracking me up! they are good lookin kids lady! you know us- we do "unschool" all the time! this time of year we do launch our official school year and get more serious work done!
Such a good idea. Your comment about the computer screen made me laugh(I didn't notice the fingerprints until then)! :)
