Disney World Day {1}

For our 20th Anniversary celebration we decided to take the children on a trip with us.  It was very tempting to  go somewhere just the two of us, and I mean VERY.  Since the children are getting older and Katie only has a few more years of high school, we don't know how many family vacations the future holds.
I was really hoping for a nice beach vacation, but Brian, Katie and Ian all wanted to go to Disney World.  We did go in 2007, but they all wanted to go back. I was fine with that, because we had a great time when we went previously.
We initially thought we would drive to save money, but decided to fly.  We took Air tran on the way there.  I found the airline to be pretty mediocre.  We had a 7:15 am flight and arrived at 5:45.  They had three agents checking people in and the line was really long.  We barely had time to get through security, get to our gate and use the restroom before boarding.

We are arrived on time around 11:15.  We really like Disney's Magical express service and choose to use that again.  They take care of getting our luggage and delivering it to our hotel room.  We did pack a small carry on with a change of clothing for dinner just in case, because it can take a few hours to have your luggage delivered.  Then we hopped on the air conditioned coach bus and arrived at the resort about 45 minutes later.

Mickey towel to greet us.

Outside of the hotel.  The grounds are very pretty and lush.

We were off to have a late lunch.  I had to get a mickey bar for dessert.

We stayed at Pop Century.  Which is a value resort.  I will review the hotel later.

Then it was off to Downtown Disney a fun shopping/dining area.  We used Disney transportation the whole vacation which is really nice.  You don't need to rent a car.

Hidden Mickey.

Last time we got the kid's silhouette's done, so I wanted it done again.

Lots of shops.

Then it was back to the hotel to change and get ready for dinner.
More to come.
