Katie has been gone at camp this week. It's so quiet just having one child here. Well, for the most part.
Ian and I went to the pool with the Susie, Tyler and Mira yesterday.
The children splashed around in the pool, while Susie and I chatted about books, recipes, movies, and parties to come.
Afterwards we dropped by their home, because I had to try this pie that Susie made. Um...yum. If you like chocolate and peanut butter make this pie.
The weekend kind of snuck up on me. I haven't talked with Mr. Young about what we are going to do, besides picking up Katie.
I started painting a couple pieces of furniture and it would be nice to finish that up.
Maybe a trip to the farmer's market.
I need to check our school supplies.
How about the rest of you?
What's on your to do list this weekend?
Have a wonderful one!

Sounds like a good weekend to me. The farmer's market is always an early Saturday morning treat. We'll see the "Million Dollar Quartet" Saturday evening.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy!
Best,

That pie looks yummy!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it amazing how much quieter it is with only one child?
We don't have any big plans this weekend. The last weekend before BOTH kids are back at school...we'll probably just hang out and relax!
Wow that pie looks AMAZING. I wonder how it would be with soybutter or another alternative to peanut butter. Isn't it weird how taking one kid out of the mix can make things seem so quiet.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like a great weekend to me.
ReplyDeleteOurs will be quiet for the first time in ages. I usually hit the farm stands on Saturday and if the weather permits will head to Loon Lake for some much needed R&R. Your pie looks wonderful and begs to be tried. have a great weekend .Blessings...Mary
Had fun at the pool with you guys! Can't wait for the fair next weekend!
ReplyDeleteThat pie looks fabulous! I may have to make it for my upcoming Girls Night In.
