Kindness

As a wife some days I find it really hard to be an encouragement to my husband.  How about you?  I can get so caught up in the little nit picky details of life.  Like where the glasses are left, dirty clothes are put etc. and etc.  You know what I'm taking about right?  It is much easier for me to complain to one of my girlfriends about these "hardships" than think of the other 99% of wonderful ways my husband blesses me.
So today, I want to publicly say to you Brian thank you for re tiling the shower on one of the nicest weekends of the year.  Thank you for making dinner, when I've been at work all day.  Thank you for putting fresh sheets on our son's bed so I don't have to change all of the beds.
Thank you for your never ending kindness.
Most of all thank you for helping me make our house a home. A place of refuge for our family.
Thank you for holding my hand and walking this journey with me, side by side as partners.

Forever yours,
Rachel

So, today instead of getting grumpy about all the annoying little things that your hubby does.  Think of one characteristic about him that you love, and let him know.

Pasta salad over at the kitchen.

  2. I definitely needed this reminder today! It's so easy for me to get frustrated over those little things that just don't really matter...when I should be celebrating all of the ways he serves me that definitely DO matter!

  5. Oh, I know that feeling! It takes effort to appreciate what we do for each other. And when we're so doggone tired. But my husband is a wonderful man, a hard worker, and excellent partner. Thanks for the reminder to keep that in mind.

    The pasta salad looks divine!
