Christmas Eve

We have had the tradition of making a lobster dinner for the children on Christmas Eve.  We had been with Brian's family on Saturday and Shane and Jen came over the next day.  Knowing we had these plans Brian and I decided that we should go out for dinner instead.  The kids were not initially happy, but they changed their minds as soon as they saw the menu.  We opted to go for lunch because it was more reasonably priced than dinner.  We absolutely loved it, and Brian and I enjoyed the break.

We had some extra time before the Christmas Eve service, so we walked around down town.  This beautiful tree was in front of Brian's office.

Brian has always joked that our children were "twins separated at birth", I think they look the part in this photo.

Then we decided to go upstairs and see the Macy's Christmas display. After that it was off to church.

I found this cute idea on pinterest for a pajama box to give to the children on Christmas Eve.  Washed pajamas, fuzzy socks, and a new book each.  They loved it!  Another new tradition.

Stockings with ornaments and little things.
This was my absolute favorite day!  I love that we found a couple of new traditions.
We hope you made wonderful memories celebrating our Savior's birth with family and friends!

12/1 ~ 12/8

This is one of my favorite ornaments.  Brian and I picked it up in Charleston, South Carolina.  We were there celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary, almost 15 years ago.

One of my favorite ways that my husband shows me he loves me... sweet, little love notes.

I read Stephanie Nielson's memoir, Heaven is Here.  Although a lot of her choices in life are very different than mine, I still enjoyed it.

Trisha Yearwood's Sweet and Saltines.

We got a "little" snow.

Have a beautiful week!
